Designers Catalina Rozo & Melissa Clinard recently created these bags to support local farmers in Alachua County, FL. Sold at Gainesville’s Union Street Farmers’ Market, the burlap bags are lined with waterproof nylon fabric, making it appropriate for just washed, delicate produce. Rozo and Clinard screen-printed the burlap with vibrant designs of oranges, strawberries, and lettuce. [...]

While browsing The Die Line, I stumbled across this post and frantically started clicking around. Was this simply a design or was it actually a reality? Let me save you some time: this wonderful creation is not a reality…yet. Designer Joel Derksen created ’8′, a container gardening kit that (in his words) “unites the social [...]

My fiancé and I took a day and a half trip up to Western Pennsylvania to stay at Nemacolin Resort and visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s FallingWater and Kentuck Knob. Nemacolin was an interesting place: a mishmash of a little bit of everything: a world-class spa (which we enjoyed!), several different places to stay (A ‘château’, [...]

Method products capture the best of both worlds: their products are environmentally friendly AND well designed. I try to seek out those two factors in my purchases: environmentally friendly for obvious reasons and design because it captures my eye. I’m a lover of well done typography, and realistically, good design of an environmentally friendly product [...]

Emmo Home sells modern products for all areas of living: kitchen, bath, office, kids, fun. These objects vary between unique, strange, and funky without seeming to sacrifice any functionality. I am a big fan of products that go beyond the typical and here are a few of my favorite finds: Sugar Bowl: Nice, elegant sugar [...]

Tabletop is a wonderful store in Dupont Circle. When I’m around the Dupont/Logan Circle area, I’m usually on the other side of the street, and so I hadn’t been in until this weekend. The store feels like a Modern Economy sale. I think I loved nearly everything in the store. It’s two stories and there [...]

Make up bags do not make the ‘most exciting post’, but I stumbled across 2 textitle/bag designers that I didn’t know about and really like their products! Teresa Green’s work has an ethereal quality to it: rustic fabrics with gently etched prints. Based out of the UK, her sketches are light, using just one or [...]

I clicked on this link off of Design Sponge and I’m in love with every room in this house. It is Kelly Osborne’s house (not THE Kelly Osborne, thank goodness, but rather the owner of ‘See Jane Work’, a fantastic office design and organization shop/website.) Take a look! I love the green and brown elements [...]

This pillow is SO cute. It’s from Fawn and Forest, which is primarily an eco-friendly baby and children’s products store. I don’t have kids yet (or anytime soon), but I am very impressed with the wealth and creativity of well-designed and functional baby products/decorations/toys that is available. I think the pillows and some of the [...]

We spent today wandering around the Dupont Circle, Logan Circle, and U Street corridor. Everytime we go into that part of DC, we ALWAYS say: ‘oooh I wish we lived here’. If only it wasn’t so pricey. It has a lot of what I’m looking for in terms of a neighborhood: old architecture, tree-lined streets, [...]
