Nature Inspired Jewelry
We went to Arts on Foot in Penn Quarter yesterday, successfully braving the crowds to enjoy food from Rasika, The Source, Marvin, and Rosa Mexicano. We also wandered around the artisan booths and saw both familiar and new artists.
I was especially impressed with Nancy Nelson’s jewelry—so impressed that I bought a cute necklace to wear at my rehearsal dinner!
When I first walked by her booth, I was going ‘full speed ahead’ to the next food vendor, but her jewelry easily caught my eye. After filling up, I headed back to take a closer look. Her jewelry is light, whimsical, and romantic. She mixes nature (leaves and birds) with gemstones and silver (circles and branches).

Her jewelry succeeds with the right combination of color and simplicity.

Check out her collection here. She also does bridal and custom jewelry.
